A Reader's Companion to the Book of Psalms
Healing Psalms
The Dialogues with God
That Help You Cope with Life
Rabbi Joshua O. Haberman
John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2003

Healing Psalms guides you to the core message of each psalm to help you find peace, understanding, comfort, and inspiration in your daily life. Traditionally attributed to King David, among others, the Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 songs in praise of the Lord containing some of the Bible's most beautiful and inspiring verses.

Written by Joshua O. Haberman, one of the most knowledgeable and respected rabbis in North America and President of the Foundation for Jewish Studies, the commentaries in this wonderful companion book to the psalms show you how each psalm's lesson can help with the problems of everyday life.

The psalms' messages are as relevant today as they were when they were written over two thousand years ago. While the other books of the Bible portray God speaking to man through visions, seers, and prophets, the psalms were written by psalmists—real people speaking to God. Trying to cope with life, the psalmists turned to God for help.

Intended for readers of any faith or spiritual tradition—Jews or Christians or anyone who wants to tap into the psalms' healing powers—Healing Psalms will guide and inspire you through life's many obstacles and celebrations.
